Be teaches: Djembe, bass drum, and upon request Balaphon and Kora.
Daily lessons: 2 hours (more than one group
possible).
You will learn to accompany the dancers with the djembe or Balaphon. Our highly qualified teachers will get you acquainted with the history of the drum, which goes back to the beginnings of humankind. In all ancient cultures had their place on the drums, accompanied by singing and dancing as well as for transmission of messages. The drum sets the trends for the dancers, their schedules require still the lives of many Africans. Pride and joy, and sadness, or the constant urge to bring the drum of freedom of expression. It plays a major role in today's Africa. Is taught in French and English.
WEST AFRICAN DANCE...
The training is for 2 hours a day. The workshops will highlight traditional West African dances from Guinea-Conacry and background information on magical, religious or social occasions. Accompany the dances are traditional with the djembe, bass drums and the Balaphon. In these lessons, you will have a special access to your body's own forces to find and give your zest for life forms. Through music you can find, sensitized by the environment, the way with himself and nature alone but never lonely, but as part of the universe.
